Until April 17, internationally renowned researchers in the core research field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) from North Rhine-Westphalia can apply for the “Lamarr Fellow Network Ramp Up”. The Lamarr Fellowship recognizes renowned scientists at universities in North Rhine-Westphalia who have already distinguished themselves internationally through their previous AI research activities. The Lamarr Fellows receive additional research funding as well as access to the structures and opportunities of the Lamarr Institute. In addition, the Lamarr Fellows as well as their universities will be integrated into the far-reaching Lamarr Network of Excellence. All research activities on Artificial Intelligence that lie within the Lamarr Institute’s area of work are eligible for funding – these include, in particular, Hybrid Machine Learning, Resource-Aware Machine Learning, Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, Human-Centered Systems, and Embodied Artificial Intelligence. The application deadline for the current selection round of the Lamarr Fellowship is April 17, 2023.
