Technologie von morgen, Probleme von gestern: Was tun gegen den Gender Gap in der Künstlichen Intelligenz?
On the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) invites you to the BMBF, Kapelle-Ufer 1, 10117 Berlin, on March 7, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event “Tomorrow’s technology, yesterday’s problems: What to do about the Gender Gap in Artificial Intelligence” (in German) will focus on the topic of gender equality in science and research.
In welcoming addresses, a keynote speech and a panel discussion, the invited experts will discuss the question of how we can tackle the gender gap in AI and inspire young women and girls to study and pursue a career in AI. Prof. Dr. Lucie Flek, Chair for Natural Language Processing at the Lamarr Institute and head of the BMBF-funded AI junior research group Dynamically Social Natural Language Processing for Discourse Analysis (DynSoDA), will also be part of the central panel.
Following the panel discussion, interested participants can also exchange ideas with Lucie Flek and Lamarr speaker Ann-Kathrin Oster during a get-together. They will moderate the topic island “Promoting young talent for women in AI”.
