Panel discussion at Kunstmuseum Ahlen

On January 23rd, 2025 at 7:00 PM, Matthias Jakobs, a scientist at the Lamarr Institute at TU Dortmund University, will join a panel discussion titled “It’s all fake now! What is AI doing with us?” („Alles nur noch fake! Was macht KI mit uns?”) as part of the “Reality Check – When things are not what they look like” exhibition at Kunstmuseum Ahlen.

The panel discussion features curator Dr. Martina Padberg, artist and professor at the FH Dortmund Achim Mohné,  and Lamarr scientist Matthias Jakobs to debate the opportunities and risks AI presents. The conversation will touch on themes such as the merging of digital media with reality, the challenge of discerning truth in images, and the societal reliance on AI technologies in both art and daily life.

The event offers a platform to engage in critical discussions about the influence of AI on art, media, and perception, encouraging the audience to participate in a ‘reality check’ of their own understanding of the digital age.

Admission costs 12€.
