Jens Teubner studied physics at the University of Konstanz. In 2006, he received his doctorate in computer science from TU München. He has both conducted research as well as taught at TU München, ETH Zurich, and TU Dresden. He has been a postdoctoral researcher at the IBM T.J. Watson Lab in Hawthorne, NY, USA and a visiting researcher at Oracle Labs in Redwood Shores, CA, USA. Since 2013, he holds the professorship for Databases and Information Systems at TU Dortmund University. His research interests revolve around data processing on modern computing architectures, including main-memory and multi-core systems, graphics processors, and FPGAs.
