Rishikesh Pandit

Rishikesh Pandit is a Research Scientist in Speech Technologies team at Department of NetMedia in Fraunhofer Institute of Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems. He is also an alumnus of University of Bonn where he accomplished his Masters in Astrophysics in 2014. Later, at the University of Roma Tre, he obtained his title of PhD in Physics (Cosmology) for which he worked in collaboration with ESA’s Euclid Space Telescope team. He can communicate in more than 5 languages, and his current research involves fine-tuning low-resource languages using state-of-the-art ASR models. Apart from carrying passion for Astronomy and Languages, he also enjoys scaling mountains, poetry and music.
