The Lamarr Institute, in collaboration with Ernst Klett Verlag, provided scientific review for the new digital learning course “Understanding AI”. This eCourse, available in German, introduces students in grades 7 to 10 to foundational knowledge and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The eCourse content was rigorously reviewed by Heike Horstmann, Managing Director of the Lamarr Institute, Max Landefeld, Lamarr and Fraunhofer IAIS researcher, and Georg Fuchs, Head of Business Area Big Data Analytics and Intelligence at Fraunhofer IAIS. While the course was developed and produced by Klett, Lamarr’s involvement ensures the scientific accuracy and relevance of the material.

Launched in November, the eCourse is available free of charge until March 2025. It offers schools a modular, interdisciplinary resource, helping educators integrate AI topics into their classrooms with confidence.
