Quantum Summit 2024
How to unlock the full potential of Quantum Computing? This is the key question tackled by the 2024 Quantum Summit, which will take place on September 25th and 26th in Berlin. Decision-makers from industry, government, and research will come together to exchange insights on the implementation and impact of this technology across the entire value chain and to discover which political, economic, and technological developments are necessary to shape the future of quantum computing in Europe. Lamarr’s leader of the Innovation Group “Quantum Machine Intelligence”, Dr. Nico Piatkowski, is one of the speakers at the event.
His keynote at the Quantum Summit is entitled “FPGA-Placement via Quantum Annealing” and will be given in partnership with Stefan Knipp, a FPGA developer from Thales Deutschland GmbH, at 4pm in the Uncertainty Stage.
About Nico Piatkowski
After studying computer science and economics at TU Dortmund University, Nico Piatkowski obtained his PhD in 2018. Since 2020, he has been a researcher at the Lamarr Institute. Nico’s research is focused on probabilistic graphical models and generative probabilisitc Machine Learning in general. His current research interest is on new unitary and adiabatic quantum algorithms for probabilistic inference as well as on the quantification of the reliability of qubits by means of marginal divergences.
