Girls’Day 2025 at our partner organizations
Every year, on the fourth Thursday in April – except for April 3, 2025 – the “Girls’ Day – Girls’ Future Day” takes place nationwide in Germany. On this day, girls have the opportunity to explore professions where women are still underrepresented. Companies, universities, and research institutions open their doors and offer exciting insights into their everyday work.
Girls’ Day is aimed at students in grades 5 to 10. Our partner universities, including the University of Bonn and TU Dortmund, also design their own programs to inspire girls for STEM professions and scientific career paths. In addition, the Lamarr Institute, together with the University of Siegen, organized a workshop that offers practical insights into the world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The registration deadlines may vary depending on the offering.
Girls’ Day with Lamarr
In this workshop at the University of Siegen, participants will build their own robot with artificial intelligence. They will learn in a hands-on way how a robot perceives its environment and makes independent decisions. They will program basic AI functions and test them directly on their self-built model.
The Lamarr Institute supports the workshop by providing the necessary hardware, enabling participants to engage in practical experiments.
