ECMLPKDD 2025: The European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases goes to Porto
From 15 to 19 September, 2025, the ECMLPKDD comes to Porto, Portugal.
What to expect
The ECMLPKDD is a conference on European machine learning and data mining. This years program offers a variety of components which will enrich the conference’s experience. Besides a PhD forum and presentations of peer-reviewed research, there will also be invited talks by leaders in the field, workshops, tutorials, poster sessions, and a discovery challenge and much more.
Why attend?
This conference is not only an event with interesting knowledge about the fast-growing field of machine learning and data mining but also an opportunity to grow and connect with fellow researchers.
Furthermore, the Lamarr-Institute is looking forward to the proposal on an open ML Challenge on Adversarial Learning for Particle Physics “Colliding with Adversaries“, which was accepted for the conference. The aforementioned proposal was created by Prof. Dr. Lucie Flek (full professor of the University if Bonn, leading the Data Science and Language Technologies group), Dr. Akbar Karimi (Lamarr NLP coordinator), Timo Saala (PhD student at the Physics Institute and Lamarr AI for Physics), and his supervisor Prof. Dr. Matthias Schott (full professor at the Physics Institute of the University of Bonn). Further information on this proposal can be found here.
