Further information
Heiko Röglin is a professor of computer science at the University of Bonn, specializing in the design and analysis of algorithms. He studied computer science at TU Dortmund University and received his Ph.D. from RWTH Aachen University. Before joining the University of Bonn, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University and as assistant professor at Maastricht University. Heiko Röglin has been working on beyond worst-case analysis of algorithms, in particular in the area of cluster analysis. In 2012, he got an ERC Starting Grant, and he is principal investigator in the cluster of excellence Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, where he is one of the leaders of the research area combinatorial optimization, complexity, and chip design.
