Zorah Lähner is head of the Geometry in Machine learning at the University of Bonn. She studied computer science at the University of Bonn and Technical University of Munich where she also received her PhD in 2021. Before coming to Bonn in 2024, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Siegen and stayed at several research institutes worldwide: Technion, Meta Reality Labs, Sapienza Università di Roma and Toshiba Research Europe.
Her research focuses on the applications of Machine Learning on (3D) geometric data and applying geometric principles to guide optimization. For this, she also received AI-Starter funding from the NRW Ministry of Culture and Science.
