Dr. Bahavathy Kathirgamanathan started working as a postdoctoral researcher in 2024 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS in the area of Human-centered AI. She completed her PhD in 2023 in Computer Science at University College Dublin (Ireland). Her research focus for her PhD dissertation was on multivariate time series classification of wearable sensor data for applications in sports analytics. She previously completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at the University of Auckland (New Zealand), specializing in Engineering Science.

Special Interests:
She is interested in bridging the gap between the human/end user and the Machine Learning model. Bahavathy holds a particular interest in health-related applications.
