Sie ist Wissenschaftliche Direktorin am Max-Planck-Institut f\u00fcr Sicherheit und Privatsph\u00e4re (MPI-SP) in Bochum und hat parallel eine Professur am Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) inne.<br><br>Als f\u00fchrende Expertin in den Bereichen Data Science und Computational Social Science schafft Meeyoung Cha wegweisende Grundlagen f\u00fcr das Verst\u00e4ndnis von sozialen Informationen und Mensch-Maschine-Interaktionen. Ihre Pionierarbeit erstreckt sich \u00fcber kritische Forschungsfelder wie Desinformation, metergenaue Armutskartierung, Betrugserkennung sowie die Dynamik von Long-Tail-Inhalten.<br><br>Meeyoung Cha ist ACM Distinguished Member und Tr\u00e4gerin zahlreicher Auszeichnungen, darunter mehrere Test-of-Time Awards, der Hong Jin-Ki Creator Award und der Korean Young Information Scientist Award. Vor ihrem Ruf an das MPI-SP war sie Chief Investigator am Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in Korea sowie Gastprofessorin bei Meta (Facebook).
