Nach Forschungsaufenthalten in Wien, Berkeley und Omaha sowie als Postdoktorand am Max-Planck-Institut f\u00fcr Informatik in Saarbr\u00fccken ist er seit 2007 Professor f\u00fcr Statistische Methoden in der Genetik und Chemometrie an der TU Dortmund. Er entwickelt und verwendet statistische Methoden in der Toxikologie, Bioinformatik und Medizin, insbesondere auch f\u00fcr hochdimensionale genetische Daten.
