Er und seine Kolleginnen und Kollegen konzentrieren sich in ihrer Arbeit auf den Bereich der Embodied AI, die der Generierung autonomer Handlungen aus gef\u00fchrten Demonstrationen mittels Teleoperation durch Visual Language Action (VLA)-Modelle oder Policy-Diffusion-Ans\u00e4tze dienen soll. konzentriert sich auf KI in der Robotik, auch bekannt als Embodied oder Physical AI. Er freut sich darauf, zuk\u00fcnftige Kooperationen zwischen kanadischen Partnern und dem Lamarr-Institut an der Schnittstelle von Robotik, Reinforcement Learning und physikbasierter Simulation aufzubauen. Sein Forschungsziel ist es, robuste Steuerungsmethoden f\u00fcr Roboter zu entwickeln, die sich dynamisch bewegen und mit ihrer Umgebung interagieren k\u00f6nnen. Embedded-Vision-Algorithmen, liegt die Forschung Stefan Weigands an der Schnittstelle von Computer Vision, Robotersimulation und Embodied Intelligence. Im Rahmen seiner Forschungsarbeiten konzentriert er sich auf drei wesentliche Elemente. Zum einen auf Steuerungsmethoden, die trotz Sim-to-Real-L\u00fccken gut von der Simulation auf reale Roboter \u00fcbertragbar sind. Zum anderen auf die Generalisierung von Reinforcement Learning auf bisher unbekannte visuelle Dom\u00e4nen.
